Karl's Imposter writes for theatre predominantly but also dabble
in film, fiction and... whatever else takes our fancy. We're a
bit mental like that.
“An
energetic, committed and spirited approach … this could really
make us think about our place in society and how we behave”
Jonathan Salisbury – Director, Trinity Theatre
Ok we got bored of
being a charity that had to aim to educate. The writer got a
proper job and now he really doesn't give a shit - anything goes.
Be prepared for tales of East London living, West End partying and
lots of things you wouldn't want to taint innocent people with.
Or maybe you would... Sex, drugs, video games and going
nuts in every sense of the word. These are the kind of things
to be found in our world. Not your world? Then go home
and cry to mother dearest.

You will find links to us from theatre forums,
magazines, myspace,
gamesites, blogs- we've got links with all
kinds of people, within a massive network. We still don't
have quite the right connections though, and will be going straight
to prison if they catch us on film snorting coke.

Smith - Transition Tradition
We are tired with theatre, in the
conventional sense. We strive to break the boundaries that
have trapped performance on the stage and trapped the audience in
their seats, suspending belief and thought. We believe
in improvisation and interaction. We look to create works that
inspire, that challenge preconceptions, that create discussion; yet
all the while entertain. That means we'll set fire
to each other and gargle sperm if it'll make you listen to something
we fancy telling you.
"Rich and complex emotional lives" Hampstead
Theatre
We aim to create works that reflect the anxieties of our generation. We want to create discourse that turns around the way people think. We believe people have been left to struggle on their own, to believe that they must struggle on their own, made to be afraid, to be apathetic, to ask questions why. It's not a call to revolution, it's a call to awareness.
Yap yap yap... give me the hammer, might be more effective.
Watch out now!

Thinking outside the box is only so good as long as you're not
inside another.

were impressed by the stylistic inventiveness and the thematic ambition”

Umm
yeah, we won't make a profit as we're not guaranteeing happy endings
or making any sense whatsoever. But... if we made you think, made you smile, made you happy
in any way, make a donation so we can do it again!
